Irish StewHeat oil in large saucepan or skillet. Sauté onions in oil. Add carrots and cook for 4-5 minutes. Add steak cubes, potatoes and water and bring to a boil. Skim off any foam and reduce heat to a simmer and cook until meat and vegetables are tender. Stew can be thickened if desired by mixing 2 Tablespoons flour with a bit of water and stir it into the stew and bring up the heat until the proper thickness is attained. Serves 6 Back to Recipes |
