Sour Cream & Cod Fish Bake

  • 2 lbs cod (or sole)
  • 4 tablespoons flour
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 cups soft breadcrumbs
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon chopped chives and parsley
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • Coat fish with flour, salt and pepper.
    Arrange in single layer in casserole or pan.
    Pour the milk over the fish and bake at 350 degrees for 45 min.
    Toast crumbs lightly in melted butter in a medium size fry pan.
    Stir parsley and chives into sour cream.

    Remove fish from the oven, pour sour cream mixture over and top with toasted breadcrumbs.
    Bake for 10 minutes or until the sour cream is set.
    This dish goes well with petit peas, steamed new potatoes and lemon slices. Enjoy!
