Holiday French Toast

  • 1 Loaf cranberry-orange or cinnamon-raisin bread

  • 6 Eggs
  • 3 C Eggnog
  • 1 t ginger
  • 1 orange, zested and juiced
  • 2 T Oil

Beat eggs, eggnog, and ginger together in large bowl to make batter. Dip thickly sliced slices of bread into batter. Fry on medium heat in large skillet until golden brown on both sides. Squeeze one T juice from orange on one side of cooked toast. Serve with orange zest as garnish. Add some orange juice to maple syrup and stir until incorporated. Serve orange maple syrup warm with French toast. Also great with sausage or bacon and fresh pineapple wedges!
